Shockers Baseball MoCo is excited to welcome Alain Ocampo as the head coach of the rising 13U Shockers Blue team.
Ocampo brings over 10 years of baseball coaching experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to develop young players during one of the most pivotal transitions in their careers — moving from the small diamond to the big diamond. His extensive work with 13U and 14U athletes gives him a unique perspective on the physical, mental, and strategic adjustments players face as they prepare for high school baseball.
Ocampo currently serves as the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Clarksburg High School, where he works daily with players navigating the transition to high school competition. That experience gives him firsthand insight into what middle school-aged players need to develop now to be ready when they arrive at the varsity level.
He is also certified in Youth Baseball Development through Driveline Baseball, one of the most respected player development programs in the sport. The Driveline methodology emphasizes data-driven training, arm care, and mechanical efficiency — principles Ocampo will bring directly to the Shockers program.
Ocampo is no stranger to the Shockers organization. He previously served as an assistant coach on the Shockers 12U Maize team, so he already knows the culture, the expectations, and the standard the program holds itself to. Before joining the Shockers, he led the Maryland Keys Baseball program as head coach and served as an assistant with the Olney Pirates and Dig In Baseball.

The Shockers organization is thrilled to add Ocampo to the coaching staff and looks forward to seeing his impact on the 13U Blue team beginning this fall.
