Shockers Baseball MoCo is proud to announce Seth Howard as the head coach of the 12U team.
Howard brings a wealth of experience both on the diamond and in player development. He has served as a coach for the Montgomery County Little League Lower County All-Star team for the past two seasons, helping guide some of the area’s top young talent through district and state tournament play.
Before transitioning to coaching, Howard was a standout collegiate athlete at Austin College, where he played both catcher and shortstop — two of the most demanding positions on the field. His background behind the plate and up the middle gives him a deep understanding of game strategy, pitch sequencing, and defensive leadership.
Howard’s competitive fire didn’t end with baseball. Following his playing career, he turned to powerlifting and quickly rose to the national stage, becoming a two-time U.S. Bench Press National Champion and earning a selection to the U.S. Bench Press National Team in each of the past four years. That championship-level discipline and mental toughness are exactly the qualities the Shockers want instilled in their young players.

Howard took over the 12U team in the fall and will continue working with the group this spring. The squad will cap their season with a trip to compete in the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament in June — a capstone event for the team and one of the most iconic destinations in youth baseball.
